In a season to forget, owing largely to off-field issues, Michigan State suffered their third straight loss at the hands of conference foe Iowa.
In the 26-16 loss, the Spartans starting quarterback Noah Kim threw three interceptions. The Spartans had a chance for most of the game, but mental mistakes ultimately spelled their fate. With a 16-13 lead halfway through the fourth quarter, the Spartans gave up a game-tying field goal, followed by a punt return touchdown, and another field goal before ending the game with Kim’s third interception.
The Spartans have a tough couple of games coming up, heading to New Jersey to play the 4-2 Rutgers Scarlet Knights, before playing host to bitter in-state rival and number two ranked Michigan.
